If you're a fan of thrillers and short stories, then Your Darkest Dreamspell is definitely a must-have. While there isn't a bad story in the bunch, Randy Rohn's work is especially engaging. Each of his stories (don't worry, he has 3 as well as 5 even shorter vignettes) hooks you in, pulls you close, then kicks you in the teeth. My favorite, by far, is Rohn's "There Are Two Asses in Assassin". The author builds up this bumbling character that you can't help but empathize with, despite his sinister occupation. I liked this story so much I could easily read a full-length novel about the character and his foibles. Some other gems in this anthology include Lisa Rene Smith's twisted story "They Came for Me" and Phill Jones' "The Wolf Revealed," with its eerily vivid imagery. I highly reccomend this anthology for anyone who wants a chilling, accessible read.

The stories in this anthology are first-rate dark fiction, an assortment of chilling tales. It includes one of my best, "Wormwood," which combines science fiction, horror and, yes, even humor. But every short story in this volume is unique and absorbing. I have but one suggestion--do not read this anthology late at night! It's not for the faint of heart either.
