This was a great listen Gracie has always been one of my favorite characters. I can understand why she feels she is in left field not knowing where she belongs if anywhere. The author brings back all the characters that we have come to love but still it is a little different then the past books in this series. The plot is wonderful and really holds your attention about a two people who grew up more or less together overcoming the issue of being almost like brothers and sisters. On top of that they have to overcome the rest of the family issues. Each brother feels like Gracie is their little kid sister, no one is good enough for her and they will kick anyone’s tail that tries to take her away from them. Which leads to a big issue when their brother Seamus sets his sights on her. The author takes you through the joking and picking stage and how much that upsets Gracie. Of course they must admit they love each other that bring issues of their own. It really was a wonderful listen with a wonderful narrator.

This narrator is one very talented person giving a compelling listen with such passion you can feel through her voice. She really brings these audio to life giving you a highly entertaining read as she puts emotion into the audio you can feel the pain, sorrow, sadness, joy, happiness through her tones. Her performance is outstanding as she pulls you in taking you away through the excitement and danger that comes. I love her many different voices from her sexy strong males to her sassy strong women. She pulls deep inside herself giving you a compelling listen that will leave you chuckling and at times laughing. She knows how to hit the correct tones really keeping the listener invested as they wait for the next shoe to drop. There are not any background noises and no breaks were taken that I could tell. You can picture the story unfold through her voice and her tones. You have no trouble knowing who is talking or what they are feeling. What this narrator brings to the table is a very clean, crisp, clear audio you get lost in.

I did think the ending was a little rushed I would have loved to have seen how the one brother took the news once the moves had been made. The ending is really wonderful it will put a smile on your face. I really enjoyed meeting up with past characters seeing who has had children and where their lives has gone. This is a wonderful family with normal issues. There are land issues which they could lose some of their land along with other issues that is spin in a wonderful tale that will really keep you attention. I really like this authors writing style is it very well written.

Love the stories! are we going to find out if Joseph and Emma will have any children? I'm sorry but we need to know more!!!!
This book was not what I expect. It ended in a real weird way not at all like I thought itwould
I read all 5 books in this series so it made a cohesive story. The last novel was probably the weakest as far as story line goes. The plot had to do with getting your family to realize that you've grown up & your not the baby sister any longer. It was enjoyable to read & I would recommend it especially if you read the others in the series.
Gracie / Seamus - this story was not as good as the other ones. Gracie came to the ranch with her sister in book 1 and was immediately welcomed into the family as the little sister. Now she is all grown up and still trying to prove her cowboy skills. Everyone says she is capable, but they still treat her differently. Seamus can't wrap his mind around the fact that Gracie is now a young woman and she is NOT his little sister. He can't figure out the drive in him to keep her safe and out of harms way. What he is feeling is more than brotherly love but he doesn't know how to show her.
Seamus has feelings for Gracie but does not know how to say what he wants to her. It always comes out as a joke or criticism to her. That have been like brother and sister for over six years. She came to Carson ranch with her sister Miranda when she came as a bride for Casey. It seems they are in a love hate relationship right now. They are both young and need time. The Carson family is growing Miranda just gave birth to a son named Garrett and Jasmine and Anders is two months away from having their first. It is interesting to see these boys take a wife and start having a family of their own. It was really a tragic thing the state of Texas tried to do to the family by buying their land for a business without them having no say in the matter. Hopefully Bernard Carson has shut that idea down. Read about this and it will get your anger up and running.
I love this series and was excited to see when book 5 came out but I wish it would have waited a bit. The editing on this book seemed rushed. There was so many missing word or incorrect words used in this book that it looked as if the editor was asleep when it was reviewed. (I just hope she didn't pay for an editor..if so, I would want my money back) The alpha/beta reader in me cringed every time I hit another snag. Each error interrupted the flow of the story and I had to go back and re-read to get back into the story.

On a positive note, I do love when a book continues a story and includes characters from previous books. I wish there had been more included. It would have made this book longer. It was a very quick read and ended too quickly.

This was supposed to be about Seamus and Gracie but very little of the story was actually about them. It was more about the ranch and Miranda having a baby. I wanted more about Seamus and Gracie. I wanted to see their interactions and we really didn't see much of it. There is so much more that could have been included to make this a more complete read. Maybe the author has plans in the next book to elaborate on their relationship but this one just left me wanting.

I will continue to read this series, but I hope she takes time with the next one to allow me to get my monies worth.
